Bill Stephen
MS, CSAC

Bill received his MS in educational psychology in 1994 from the University of Wisconsin -Milwaukee. He worked at St. Charles Youth and Family Services in residential treatment helping teens and families with substance abuse and mental health issues. Bill became a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor in 1998 and has helped substance abusers from all walks of life since then. Bill started working at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in 1999 and continues there seeing clients with mental health and substance abuse issues. Bill also helps family members of recovering clients enhance recovery skills. He is skilled in helping parents raise difficult teens, helping individuals with depression, bipolar issues, anger management, anxiety, gambling and substance use issues. Bill has worked with adults and teens with DUI and work related substance issues for over 10 years. Bill conducts assessment, group and individual sessions at Cornerstone Counseling Services. Bill has a person centered style that fits well with trying to increase clients’ motivation to change and address issues.
