Caroline Schmidt
Ph.D.

Dr. Schmidt is a licensed psychologist who provides psychotherapy to individuals and couples, both adults and adolescents. She specializes in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship problems, identity development, spirituality, and stress management. Dr. Schmidt uses a strength-based approach in psychotherapy, helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors interact to affect their well-being. Her treatment philosophy combines aspects of cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and dialectical behavior therapies. Dr. Schmidt received her doctoral and master’s degrees in counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she now periodically serves as an adjunct faculty member. She also received post-graduate clinical training at Northwestern University. Dr. Schmidt is the clinical supervisor for the Glendale location at Cornerstone.
