Laura Floyd

Laura Floyd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is dedicated to providing her clients with a positive therapy experience and will strive to help them regain a new sense of hope, purpose and direction in their lives. Laura is skilled in providing mental health services to children, ages five and up, adolescents, adults, and families. Her special areas of interest include: Individuals experiencing anxiety and panic disorders; children experiencing difficulties with ADHD, children, adolescents and families' coping with grief and loss associated with illness, death, divorce; parenting, grandparenting issues; and the emotional functioning of older adults facing later life issues. Laura creates a relaxing and safe environment for her clients. She uses an eclectic approach that may include teaching new skills, building on existing strengths, or facilitating new thoughts and feelings through creative expression. Laura has also received training from the Grief Recovery InstituteŽ.
