Maureen Laustsen

Maureen earned her graduate degree in Counseling from
Marquette University in 1988. She graduated from the
Family Therapy and Training Institute in 1995. She uses
solution focused, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness
therapies. A lifelong student of depth psychology and
creativity, Maureen has studied Jungian therapy and
dream analysis at the Jung Institute of Chicago, and
drawing and design at Mount Mary College and the
Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. She has written
and taught courses at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Creating Happiness and in
Recognizing Intuition, and has been a repeat guest
panelist on talk radio addressing listeners’ questions
on Using Intuition in the Workplace. She is a published
writer and speaks on intuition, creating happiness, and
practical steps to career development. Maureen has held
the position of Director of Employee Assistance Services
to Miller Brewing Company/MillerCoors since 1997.
Maureen specializes in working with adult men and women
who are experiencing life, relationship, and workplace
change, challenges, and transitions. Her style is
respectful, warm, and collaborative as she assists
clients to recognize and deepen their inner knowledge,
wisdom and strengths. They learn to practice resilience
and to create full and balanced lives. She brings
together her training and expertise in the arts,
behavioral science and organizational coaching and
consulting to provide excellent resources to her clients
in meeting their therapy and life goals. Maureen’s
clients consistently report an overall increased sense
of purpose and connection in their community, work and
relationships, and meaning in their lives; qualities
that research shows produce heightened experience of
life happiness and satisfaction.
